A Religious Psychic In Denial There is this one YouTuber named Bryce Crawford who is quite annoying in that he preaches the gospel about Christian fundamentalist beliefs. In his one video below, he interviews a psychic and runs his mouth about how the Bible condemns them as being demonic. However, he himself turns around and uses psychic powers to indicate to her that he knows that she has hip pain. Mr. Crawford utilized psychic powers to tell the psychic personal things about her that no stranger would know, and then he turned around and told her to give up her profession as a psychic. Talk about hypocrisy on his part. The psychic's name is Bianca. Mr. Crawford insists that he gets his psychic abilities from the Holy Divinity. Well, I question the existence of God. However, if God really does exist, how does Mr. Crawford not know that Bianca is getting her psychic gift from the Holy Ghost, so to speak? This man clearly doesn't practice what he preaches. What I do find interesting about Mr. Crawford is that he admits that he was once a misotheist. Like a typical Bible-thumping buffoon, Mr. Crawford currently has an entire line of merchandise upon which he capitalizes. Bianca's face has been blurred out. She announced that she does believe in God. Mr. Crawford insists that he gets his psychic abilities from a divine being from up above, but he also claims, at the same time, that Bianca's gifted abilities could only come from demons. Hmmm. It sounds like a double standard to me. Could it be that there are no such things as demons? That they're figments of the imagination in the minds of deluded religious extremists? Mr. Crawford and Bianca then agree that the Bible denounces psychics as demonic. Mr. Crawford even goes as far as citing verses in the Bible that supposedly connect psychic abilities with demons. However, it appears that not everyone interprets the Bible in that same manner, and I will provide you examples in that same regard further on herein. Mr. Crawford prays for Bianca's hip to be healed. For real? At this point in the video, I begin to suspect that Bianca is a hired actress and that Mr. Crawford staged this entire interview. In other words, it's all fake, and Mr. Crawford has given us no valuable information or insight regarding psychics and how they acquire their gifted abilities. On the other hand, in an interview on CBS Chicago, Jenniffer Weigel claims that her research into psychics has strengthened her faith in God. She also mentions that a Catholic priest wrote to her and told her that there are verses in the Bible that describe people going to psychics in a positive manner. Ms. Weigel appears to dismiss religious extremists' condemnation of psychics as something as archaic as the stoning of innocent people. She suggests that everyone in the evangelical industry and the likes needs to get caught up with the times instead of spreading fairy tales about psychics getting their powers from demons. A Catholic priest wrote to Ms. Weigel in a way that suggested that he believed that the Bible condoned Saul going to a medium. Therefore, as I stated, everything in the Bible appears to be open to individual interpretation. Further on herein, you'll see that others agree with me on this same point. ## 2. The Unrealistic And Even Cruel Nature Of The Bible As I stated in my previous article titled "**[The Bible Peddles Fear-Mongering Lies About Psychics](https://peakd.com/paranormal/@epicenterdefacto/the-bible-peddles-fear-mongering-lies-about-psychics)**," the Bible condones all sorts of atrocities and injustices. Religious extremists always come back with the excuse that such verses that do so are metaphorical, yet they want us to take the derogatory verses about psychics as being literal. Well, they do not get to have their cake and eat it too. In their video below, Penn Jillette and Raymond Joseph Derickson Teller ("Penn and Teller") expose the Bible for the load of nonsense and deplorability that it is. Therefore, why should we rely on the Bible to educate us about psychics and how they get their gifted abilities? We shouldn't. Christian fundamentalists and religious extremists hate scientists, because scientists can and have debunked the contents of the Bible. We need to be listening to scientists about how psychics get their gifted abilities. We don't need to be placing our blind faith in what religious kooks like Kenneth Copeland and Bryce Crawford have to say about it. Now, I completely get it that some of you out there snipe at psychics as being scam artists and master manipulators. I'm not claiming that there aren't very bad actors out there who proclaim themselves to be psychics only to take advantage of the vulnerable and the grieving. However, none of these so-called people of God like Mr. Crawford and Mr. Copeland are taking their war against psychics in that direction. They're insisting that psychics get their powers from demons. I don't believe that real psychics don't exist at all. However, if someone could prove that they are all scam artists and fraudsters, wouldn't that revelation tend to disprove the existence of Satan and demons? Perhaps that could be the reason why evangelical preachers like Mr. Copeland and Mr. Crawford wish not to take their war against psychics in that direction, because then they would appear as fraudsters and scam artists themselves. I believe that psychics do exist, but that's just me. If I were to meet a parent whose small child was a psychic, I'd be telling that parent to keep their child far away from religious kooks like Mr. Copeland and Mr. Crawford. After you watch the movie *Silent Hill*, you'll know exactly why I would give that advice to a parent. ## 3. Answers From Science Regarding Psychics And Their Gifted Abilities You may or may not have heard of a scientist named Dr. Julie Beischel. She has been conducting studies about psychics for some time now. If you want to know whatever you can find out about psychics, you need to turn to people like her rather than to religious kooks like Bryce Crawford and Kenneth Copeland. She'll give you cold, hard facts from her findings rather than the fear-mongering falsehoods that both Mr. Copeland and Mr. Crawford give you. What is so interesting about Dr. Beischel is that she realizes that there are scam artists, hucksters, and all sorts of fraudsters posing as psychics, and she has put safeguards in place to keep herself and others from wasting their time and money on those kinds of people accordingly. The fact that Dr. Beischel has an ally in the religious sector assisting her in her scientific research about psychics and who shares this same belief with her about the possibility of the Bible being mistranslated in reference to psychics definitely goes in her favor. Final Thoughts Ladies and gentlemen? Throughout most of my adult life, I've been inundated with sermons about how psychics are demonic and allow the devil to operate through them. Some of what have seemed like the most unlikely people to badmouth psychics have tried to peddle this same nonsense to me. I remember when I was on a business trip in Fresno, California, this one co-worker of mine tried to convince me that psychics got their gifted abilities from Satan and demons. In hindsight, I don't even know why I wasted my time in listening to these people. When you want to get real answers about such phenomena, science is always the best way to do so. Scientists like Dr. Julie Beischel are going to base their findings and discoveries about psychics on facts rather than on the ravings of some religious fanatic or religious zealot. Psychics already get a bad rap from society. Therefore, I think we owe them at least the respect of proving whether or not they are genuine instead of branding them with a pitchfork symbol. If demons actually existed and they were operating through psychics, I think that Dr. Beischel would have discovered something to that effect by now. Instead, she has found harmless evidence that many of these individuals simply have a gifted talent that not everyone gets to experience. Let's keep the Bible out of this entire fact-finding mission involving psychics. The Bible has enough misleading and mendacious information in it. These psychics deserve better than for us to let the Bible dictate who they are and what they're all about. At the end of the day, religion is a scam.
