I do not watch television very much and by Ramadan we meet at the breakfast table. Television has become a necessity despite the triviality of what is broadcasted. Anyway that's not our subject but what it took my attention yesterday was an advertisement of an Islamic bank for the first time. I do not know how I did not notice it before I think I was involved in eating so I forget what surrounds me.
I knew that it was officially launched in Morocco but I did not know when, it was an opportunity to search for them and discuss with you the way these banks operate and what is the difference between them and the ordinary banks. In Morocco they called participatory banks instead of Islamic bank in respect for the feelings of non Islamic banks Hahaha named by this name for the simple reason that is participate in profit and loss because the way these banks operate is through the sale and purchase, which is shared by customers, which are commercial financial institutions for profit.
The difference between them and traditional banks is that they do not give loans, as some think, in addition, they have the goods they resell to the customers with a margin of profit, unlike the other banks that benefit from interest without buying or taking responsibility. Simply to clarify this point to determine the difference is that the commodity is in the participatory banks unlike other banks.
Among the product or service that participatory banks provide we find for instance you want to buy a real estate they buy it and sell it to you with a profit in installment, the second product is the lease and the third product that is available in the participatory Bank is lease that ends with possession on the basis of a promise from the customer to fulfill his promise at the end of the period agreed upon in the rent, The fourth product is speculation, the bank pays you sum of the capital to trade with, with the profit sharing by mutual consent and agreement between the bank and the customer, the last product i.e. the participation of the bank in a project with the profit sharing between you according to a contract and an agreement.
This is what I was able to extract from a series of explanations and videos and other products could be added in the future.
