Heya everyone just wanted to share with you my cover of John Lennon that I did for MIND charity! This is a bit of a first for me because really I only do my own original music. I certainly haven't published a cover on my Dtube before. I felt a bit weird about it if I am honest with you all. John Lennon isn't the easiest place to start either. His melodies can go quite high. When I went to give this song I'd know I'd really struggle to hit it well. So I ended up changing a few of the lyrics and also melody to the song. If you end up changing that much is it really a cover? It's hard to know but I think I really did make it mine as much as I could. John Lennon is a fantastic songwriter and I hope I have done him some justice.
More importantly, we have raised £30 for MIND via Facebook and Instagram. So that in itself is pretty decent.
I hope you find this take on a lesser-known John Lennon song interesting at the very least. Let me know what you think! Would love to hear if you think that there are any other worth causes we should Jam for and also what are you're favourite songs you have covered.
