God wants us to enjoy lives of peace. Jesus provided it, and we must aggressively pursue it and hold on to it. 2 Corinthians 5:7 says that we walk by faith and not by sight; that means we do not make decisions by what we are or feel. We have to search our hearts, where faith abides, and live from there. The kingdom of God is within us and we are to follow those inner prompting that leads to righteousness, peace joy in the Holy Spirit.
Feelings can mislead is to steal our faith more than any other single influence. The problem with feelings is that they are ever changing. We can feel one thousand ways about the same thing in thirty days. One minute we may feel like doing a thing, and the next minute we don't.
Feelings provoke us to say things that are unwise; we talk a lot about how we feel. Do you believe god of your feelings or the God of the Bible? This is a question we must ask ourselves.
Our feelings do not convey truth to us; Satan can use them to deceive and lead us astray. Emotions are unreliable; don't believe them. Respond with your heart, where the spirit of God resides and see if you then have peace. Check with your heart, not your emotions, before making decisions.
Believing in your feelings at times can lead you in taking the wrong decision. Feelings have lead people in making wrong marriage decisions which they end up regretting and out of it they made some other terrible mistakes that kept hunting them for the rest of their life. Feelings can lead one to a life partner who is not meant to be with, or rather can't have a good future with, only for the person's life to turn out miserable after the marriage.
In some cases it might not even be that the partner is bad naturally but just that both are not meant for each other, but because the feelings has said something else, they believe they are meant to be staying that they are madly in love. Some even die a day before their wedding or even a day after getting married just because they married the wrong person.
A right wife is meant to bring progress and promotions and not disaster, so this is why we are not meant to stop at believing our feelings, we need to go beyond believing our feelings and make other enquiries before making decisions. And the best person to enquire from id God Almighty the maker of everything because He created all things and knows everything.
