Real Madrid were already ahead by 2:1 but they were demolished out of the champions league by 4 goals to 1 in favour of Ajax at Santiago Bernabeu. This defeat came as a surprise and brought to mind several other devastating defeat which real Madrid has suffered in the past.:
1. Olympique Lyonnais 3-0 Real Madrid In the 2005. This defeat happened at the group stage of the champions league.
2. Borussia Dortmund 4-1 Real Madrid In the 2012/13 season.
3. Bayern Munich 4-1 Real Madrid in Group C in the 1999/2000 Champions League.
4. Derby County 4-1 Real Madrid in The 1975 Champions Cup.
