No hace falta que hoy vaya al gym, ya que esta mariposa me hizo realizar tanto ejercicio que estoy exhausta.

This morning I planned to walk around a bit and relax at the park and soak up some sun. This is a park with some small wooden benches, and around it, there are many flowering bushes. Sitting there enjoying the scenery, I noticed among some flowers a kind of glow, like a sparkle, so I approached and saw that it was a butterfly, a different one than the ones I have shared with you.
Esta mañana mis planes eran caminar un poco y luego sentarme en una plaza a tomar un poco de sol. Esta es una plaza con unos pequeños bancos de madera y alrededor hay muchos arbustos que florecen. Sentada disfrutando del paisaje aprecié entre unas flores una especie de brillo, como un destello así que me acerqué y vi que se trataba de una mariposa, una diferente a las que he compartido con ustedes.
This butterfly was enjoying the pollen of the flowers and the rays of the sun, every time it moved its wings, the reflection of the sun on the white color of them gave off a flashing effect. I could not resist the temptation and approached to photograph it. But what do you think? This is a butterfly agile it flies erratically and hops from flower to flower, chasing it was a fitness routine. I confess it made me sweat.
Esta mariposa estaba disfrutando del polen de las flores y de los rayos del sol, cada vez que movía sus alas el reflejo del sol en el color blanco de ellas desprendía un efecto de destello. No pude aguantar la tentación y me acerqué para fotografiarla. Pero ¿qué creen? Esta es una mariposa en muy buena forma ya que vuela erráticamente y brinca de flor en flor, perseguirla fue toda una rutina fitness, les confieso que me hizo sudar.
I think this butterfly enjoyed watching me hop after her. I think that many of its movements were made deliberately from one side to the other to get away from me, and it almost succeeded 🤣🤣🤣
Yo creo que esta mariposa disfrutó mucho viéndome brincar tras ella. Pienso que muchos de sus movimientos los hacía adrede de un lado a otro para zafarce de mí y casi lo logra 🤣🤣🤣
When I researched this butterfly, I found that it is commonly known as "jumping butterfly" a very well-earned name. I could check it out hahaha. This butterfly belongs to the Hesperiidae family, its scientific name is Vettius coryna, and its main characteristic is its silver wings with orange lines and on its back, they are brown with orange flashes and small white spots
Cuando investigué sobre esta mariposa encontré que comúnmente es conocida como "mariposa saltarina" un nombre muy bien ganado, yo lo pude comprobar jajaja. Esta mariposa pertenece a la familia Hesperiidae su nombre científico es Vettius coryna y su característica principal son sus alas plateadas con líneas naranjas y en su parte posterior son de color marrón con destellos naranjas y unas pequeñas manchas blancas.
If you look closely at its head, you can see that its antennae are separated, and the tips are slightly bent, giving it the shape of a hook.
Si observas bien su cabeza puedes observar que sus antenas están separadas y las puntas se doblan un poco dando la forma de gancho.
This type of butterflies can be found in all mountainous areas of South America at an altitude between 1500 to 2500 meters above sea level, from Venezuela to Bolivia. Some of them have been seen in Mexico. Their preferred habitat is grassy areas with narrow leaves as they are ideal for ovipositing their eggs.
Este tipo de mariposas se pueden encontrar en todas las zonas montañosas de suramérica a una altura entre los 1500 a 2500 metros sobre el nivel del mar, desde Venezuela hasta Bolivia, aunque hay algunas de ellas que han sido vistas en México. Su hábitat preferido es en zonas de hierba de hojas estrechas ya que son ideales para ovipositar sus huevos.

Yo estoy muy feliz de no haberme dado por vencida, pude lograr fotografiarla y anexarla a la galería de fotos de mariposas increíbles que he podido compartir en esta comunidad llena de amantes de la naturaleza.
