Have you ever had a hot cup of coffee surrounded by vibrant colorful flowers?
Today, I went to the greenhouse to get some plants for my home and drink a delicious coffee surrounded by nature. Below, I share some pics narrating my experience.
At present, most of the days have a gray color. It would seem that the vegetation has lost its intense colors, but in reality, this is the effect of the few sun rays in winter.
Despite being at home in winter clothes, seeing a gray landscape increases the cold sensation you may feel. After all, humans are a species (as well as others) that need sunlight to be more active.
This gray hue sometimes slows me down and makes me feel nostalgic. It is not for nothing that people who have winters where there is little sunlight tend to become depressed during these periods.
One of the things I do in the winter season to keep my spirits high and active is to redecorate my home with warm and vibrant colors. In the winter, I usually wear brightly colored clothes, but I also decorate my home with plants that provide scents and colors that cheer me up. So today, I went to the greenhouse to fulfill a tradition I do year after year.
As soon as I arrived at the greenhouse, I felt great energy when I saw so many colors in the plants. Despite the cold in the greenhouse, they grow some plants at a controlled temperature, so some of them bloom at this time of the year.
During the Christmas season, I always buy pine cones to decorate them and also several Christmas plants. The cold is so intense that even though the greenhouse protects the plants from the extreme temperatures, in the early morning the cold condenses leaving its dew on the leaves of the plants.
Surely, when you look at these pics, you will think that it is a Christmas plant with frost on its leaves, but no, it is dew. It is something magical.
Fortunately, in the inner part of the greenhouse, there are plants a little more grown up and protected from these cold drops of water.
As you can imagine seeing so much dew on the leaves of the plants and the cold temperature, it was essential to drink a good cup of coffee, and what better way to do it than among so many flowers. So we sat down in tables located on the terrace and ordered some good cups of coffee along with some meat and ham pastries.
It is wonderful to enjoy a hot drink and be surrounded by the vibrant colors of the flowers and plants of the place. I was recharged with good energy. I felt refreshed.
And what did I take home? Besides the experience of enjoying a good cup of coffee, some Christmas plants and wreaths and an arrangement made with natural pine branches. It will give a magnificent aroma to my house.
