Build a house

At prayer this morning a song we worshiped with brought a Word.

Build a house for your glory

is how the line went.
And the line brought with it a prayer from my heart.

Lord, wake the church - Your people.

For they are your house - the place you have chosen to reside.
And by building your church, with all its diversity and reborn purity, You build a house for Your glory.

Draw the lost- your pre-Christian children.

For in bringing the rest of them into your family, Your house grows in grandeur and breadth.

Pour out your saving grace like honey.

For, just as honey flows in widening pools, your vast and unending grace will spread into every dark corner.
Every hungry soul will be sated with sweet salvation.
