Greetings friends architecture lovers! Today I am pleased to present a beautiful structure that we have in the city of San Cristobal, this is the restaurant Nan King one of the representations of Chinese culture in the state of Tachira in Venezuela. Come with me and I will give you a tour.
For as long as I can remember this place has been a meeting point for celebrations in my family. It was there where we celebrated my graduations and when my parents bought the house. It was always full of people, so much so that many times we had to wait for a table. This year I wanted to bring my family to celebrate my husband's birthday and our anniversary.
It was the first time my husband, a lover of Chinese culture, visited this beautiful place. The facade of the restaurant looks like one of the palaces of the ancient dynasties of China. Ornaments and lamps allow us to admire some details of this millenary culture.

At the entrance we see a fountain with a small bridge where they breed goldfish and are one of the attractions for young and old. A glass door opens the way to the elegance and distinction of this beautiful restaurant.
Asking a little about the history of the place, I was given some interesting facts about the construction of this great venue. In the premises with more than 2 thousand square meters, 40 tons of granite and marble were used for the floors, columns and countertops. They used 80 tons of cabilla with more than 1,000 square meters of concrete. It is impressive the amount of material used for these facilities with a capacity of more than 200 people and 100 vehicles in its parking lots. Meanwhile, 60 kilometers of cable were used for the electrical installations.
Fountains, gardens, natural lighting. 2 levels of spaces with tables, smoking area, restroom area, parking. A traditional and luxurious interior decoration. Ample parking and a comfortable waiting room are part of this beautiful structure that makes up the Nan King family business.
My favorite part of the restaurant are the 3D murals inside the large dining room. The mirrors and giant vases add an elegant touch to the place.
In a photo gallery in a corner, we can see how the facade of the restaurant was in its beginnings in 1970 and how it then underwent two major renovations to become the beautiful place it is today. It also tells the story and sacrifice of the family to become the best Chinese food restaurant in the region.
Nowadays, after the pandemic period, people are used to order Chinese food at home and the place remains empty even on weekends. Even so, the Nan King restaurant will remain an icon of the city of San Cristobal.

Saludos amigos amantes de la arquitectura! Hoy me complace presentarles una bella estructura que tenemos en la ciudad de San Cristóbal, se trata del restaurant Nan King una de las representaciones de la cultura China en el estado Táchira de Venezuela. Acompáñenme y les doy un recorrido.
Desde que tengo memoria este lugar ha sido punto de encuentro para celebraciones en mi familia. Fue allí donde celebramos mis graduaciones y cuando mis padres compraron la casa. Siempre estaba lleno de personas, tanto que muchas veces tuvimos que esperar por una mesa. Este año quise llevar a mi familia para celebrar el cumpleaños de mi esposo y nuestro aniversario.
Fue la primera vez que mi esposo, amante de la cultura China, visitaba este bonito lugar. La fachada del restaurant parece uno de los palacios de las dinastías antiguas de China. Adornos y lámparas que nos permiten admirar algunos detalles de esta cultura milenaria.

En la entrada vemos una fuente con un pequeño puente donde crían peces goldfish y son una de las atracciones para grandes y chicos. Una puerta de cristal nos abre paso a la elegancia y la distinción de este bonito restaurante.
Preguntando un poco sobre la historia del lugar, me dieron unos datos interesantes sobre la construcción de esta gran sede. En el local con más de 2 mil metros cuadrados, se utilizaron 40 toneladas de granito y mármol para los pisos, columnas y mesetas. Emplearon 80 toneladas de cabilla con más de 1000 metros cuadrados de concreto. Es impresionante la cantidad de material que se utilizo para estas instalaciones con una capacidad de más de 200 personas y 100 vehículos en sus estacionamientos. Mientras que en las instalaciones eléctricas se utilizaron 60 kilómetros de cable.
Fuentes, jardines, iluminación natural. 2 niveles de espacios con mesas, zona para fumadores, area de baños, estacionamiento. Una decoración interior tradicional y lujosa. Amplio estacionamiento y una sala de espera confortable, son parte esta bonita estructura que conforma la empresa familiar Nan King.

Mi parte favorita del restaurant son unos murales en 3D que se encuentra en la parte de adentro del gran salón. Los espejos y los jarrones gigantes le dan un toque elegante al lugar.
En una galería de fotografías en un rincón, podemos observar como era la fachada del restaurante en sus inicios en 1970 y como luego sufrió dos grandes remodelaciones hasta llegar a ser el bello lugar que es hoy. También cuenta la historia y sacrificio de la familia para llegar a ser el mejor restaurante de comida China de la región.

Actualmente, después de la época pandemia, las personas acostumbran a pedir la comida China a domicilio y el lugar permanece vacío incluso los días de fin de semana. Aún así, el restaurant Nan King seguirá siendo un ícono de la ciudad de san Cristóbal.
