Caterpillar visiting

Greetings to all nature lovers! Yesterday when we came home with the groceries for the week, there was a caterpillar visiting inside one of the corn cobs.

I immediately grabbed my phone and started taking pictures of her, I'm not an expert but I was glad to have this model for an impromptu photo shoot. She did a couple of pirouettes and moves playing among the leaves.

This beautiful insect is known as the corn earworm, since it can become a pest that kills corn crops.

After he got tired of being my model for photographs, he began to expel a yellow-green liquid. Maybe he saw me as a threat so I had to cut the piece of corn where he had been living and leave him in a cool place to continue living there.

I really enjoyed being able to observe this friend as it is the first time I have had this kind of guest at home. It probably posed a threat to the corn crops and came to infiltrate among my purchases, but in my house it does not represent a danger, so I left it in a cool place and away from the plants in the garden to prevent it from settling among my plants.
