I like this. What I notice first is the form: the use of a similar form in the first and third stanza, the introductory word set off with a comma, the present participle beginning the final line. You have here, as Whitman said, the law of your own poem. Next I notice the extended 'taste' metaphor. And finally the rhyme to finish the poem, which works very well. With regard to the meaning: silence as an ingredient of change gives me something to ponder. I'm not sure I would think of silence that way. So you've given me something to think about and perhaps a new reason to appreciate silence. Nice job all in all.
