I'm a long-time steemian, (July 2017) and I'm really confused. I don't participate and am fully devoted to Hive but I still have my bag. Well, my sandwhich bag lol.
I never sold because I felt like the price would come back a little bit maybe and I wouldn't have such a loss. I have 8300 steem sitting around doing nothing. But I figure I make $80 with every penny increase so my chances of earning some money on it are decent before I sell.
One thing I always did along the way was convert my sbd to steem. I don't know why but that's what I always did. For the most part when steem dipped so did SBD and the $1 peg didn't seem as attractive as the steem dream.
Well now that the steem dream is a nightmare it seems weird that sbd is priced so high. Is this a manipulation? If so can someone explain how this works?
Steem is doing nothing and had I converted it all to SBD I would have made a nice profit in a week. This SBD price seems so out of place and I imagine if I convert back to SBD now I would manage to lose it all somehow lol. But what's going on here?
