So since the fork downvoting has been on my mind. I have never been a fan of it and have never done it.
I do see the point and I'm ok with downvoting to combat abuse. The abuse I speak of is blatant of bid bots and raping of the rewards pool.
Having said that, I've been the victim of singular downvotes for seemingly no reason. I have never used a bid bot and I don't participate in any revenge flagging or downvoting other accounts. The posts I get downvoted on are posts that I actually work very hard on.
When I try to post about something I'm passionate about or spend time trying to bring value to the reader or a specific tribe, I find myself getting single downvotes. It's a total nuisance.
Each one of the downvotes comes from an account like the one pictured above. They all were created on or after September 19, 2019, have the bare minimum SP and have 1 post.
So I really want to ask the @steem.leo and
@steemit communities to weigh in on this in the comments. What is the point of these nuisance accounts? Does it help the ecosystem?
To me it just angers authors. It serves no purpose and I think about new people who were just onboarded to Steemit being greeted by this. I imagine it would be a real turn off to someone trying to find their voice on here.
