To me, your garden looks more than fine. Maybe to your expectations, you are doing little, but the plants that are currently there look fresh and in good shape, so you still take care of them. Maybe don't be so hard on yourself, because as we have these very productive periods, we also have to recharge and channel strength again to come back full force.
I think I am going to start following your ways to learn a little about herbs cultivation because it is very interesting to me and I am not even an amateur farmer.
