I really liked the stories about your uncle, and more because you had really trustable sources right around you to tell you all the details. Nice to know that your family tries to get along, and in touch.
I am also familiar with loss and with that feeling of knowing that your eyes will no longer perceive someone again, or your hands touch them, but still and like you, I believe that if we continue to remember them, and their stories, for sure there can be a relation with them, one in which we appreciate the legacy of each individual, and their mark in the world, the traits that will stay here, forever.
I hope that everyone from your mom, cousin, and you, keep finding consolation in small things, to continue to live and find happiness and joy once and over again
