US President Donald Trump, in an interview with the British Times before his visit to England, where he will start on Monday, said that if Britain failed to secure the desired agreement during the European Union's (EU) exit (Brexit) process, it would have to leave it unintentionally.
In his interview, Trump said Brexit Party leader Nigel Farage should be involved in the negotiation process and criticized the process.
Trump argued that the UK gave Brexit the hands of the EU in the negotiation process.
In an interview with the British newspaper Sun, the US President said yesterday that former Foreign Minister Boris Johnson would be a perfect leader for the Conservative Party.
Trump's comments on UK domestic politics before the visit were criticized as "contrary to diplomatic conventions".
Mel Stride, the minister responsible for determining the agenda of the House of Commons, said that Trump's ideas were merely tied to him and that Britain's new prime minister would not be elected by Trump.
