Thanks for this livinguktaiwan@livinguktaiwan lots of food for thought here.

First of as for erikasue I only became aware of her after reading the very sad post that was at the top of the trending page yesterday.

When I saw she had posted a video for open mic week 122 I knew I shouldnt watch it as it would totally wreck me emotionally...

Well I did end up watching about 1 min or so of it and it tore me to pieces.... :( I ended up looking at and upvoting her posts as a way of saying goodbye I guess...

I have been in a deep dark emotional funk since hearing what happened to her and it likely will stay with me for a good while.

As for the rest I don't think Pinmapple is the community for me any more. There is alot of competion in the community from many great creators all around the world.

If we look at my last Pinmapple post it has around 100 images and took some where around 4 or 5 hours to make.

If I had known I wasn't allowed to post in Pinmapple and Liketu I would have rather made several smaller Liketu posts using 10 images for each post.

Shorter , quicker to produce content makes alot more sense I guess especially when my content is likely only going to make the honourable mentions section on Pinmapple.

I made a video for the Cellardyke post which took around an hour to edit and encode so we are probably looking at around 6 hours total time to make that post. The payout is around $25 , after curation tax I will get around $12.50 so were around $2.10 per hour for that one.

It seems that 6 hours could have been much better spent engaging with other users in the Music and open mic communities and making smaller posts with my photographs for liketu.

I'm thinking that is the best way to proceed here on HIVE , focus on the Music communities with videos and engagement and post photos exclusively to Liketu.

Pinmapple has been fun and the community has been very rewarding to me since the start of Hive but with so much great competition and the time it takes to make a worth while post I don't see myself making content for that community going forward.

Thanks again for taking the time to share your 2 cents , mind if I ask where I can find that stats you shared? I think checking them regularly is a good way for me to get better at engagement with other creators.
