I think that's one of the man complaints on the steam reviews. I have a pretty good PC and cant get more than 20fps here even with these textures. I guess its the huge seamless world either that or a 2 man dev team doesn't know how to properly optimise the game.

All that aside I am enjoying the story and exploring the world, combat is fun to.

I guess I will see how I feel after spending a few more hours wandering around the world.
