During primary two, I myself was being bullied ever by this girl. She used to steal food from my school bag. I just keep quiet because I got soft-hearted and thought that maybe she's hungry. End up she stole almost every student's food in class. It just keep getting worst and worst everyday so the student in my class reported it to the teacher. The student was called to see the counseling teacher and next thing we heard, she was transferred to another class.
A sane and normal person don’t just wake up one day and think “I’m going to go and bully somebody”. Normally a bully is someone who has been bullied in the past. They'll pick on their prey because it makes them feel good and enlighten their ego.
In some cases, students with money power try to harm other students by taunting, teasing and embarrassing them in public place. This will cease their dignity, excitement and innocence for their entire school life.
Most student decide not to tell their parents about the abuse because parents sometime tends to be so protective to the extent that they will confront the bully. In some cases, parent are too busy to pay attention making them felt its useless to tell them. This not only leads up student to depression but also social anxiety, alcohol or even drug abuse, decrease in self-esteem and suicide thoughts.
School should monitor any bullying action in school or held an awareness program to student on the effect of bullying. Parent also should monitor and give attention to their children behaviour and look for sign of bully. Student on the other hand can take initiatives to form a group that support each other.
