i went 6 years without drinking coffee
but recently after visiting central America i had a few
i consider it a treat and something to use with respect
and not as a crutch so its rare that ill drink it.
and im so happy u gave up tho
I made a post some years ago trying to give people other alternatives to coffee
because i think the fact its so mainstream is what makes it problematic
its not a locally grown crop in the western world
yet its consumed by everyone across the world
and altho there are many organic agroforestry coffee plantations
there are many more spraying strong pesticides in mono-cultures
the coffee industry is a billion dollar industry
and unfortunately these cash crops come with a price
not only on our own health but for others on the other side just trying to get by
and being exploited
