Si me sigues, sabes que llevo varios intentos fallidos de exploración en cuanto a gusto y colores. Probé el Glam Rock y el rosa palo, pero no quedaba satisfecha con el resultado hasta este momento.

And now, finally, I can officially present my Glam makeup for this week's Hive's Top Model challenge. I'm very excited because it was a session that I really enjoyed. If you follow me, you know that I've had several failed attempts at exploring taste and colors. I tried Glam Rock and pale pink, but I wasn't satisfied with the result until this moment.

Todo comenzó en la mañana, simplemente antes de levantarme decidí que sería un gran día e intenté mantener una actitud positiva y enfocada. Desde la noche anterior, visualice mi outfit y pensé que tal vez podría darle la oportunidad a un vestido que desde el inicio había descartado.

It all started in the morning, just before getting up I decided it was going to be a great day and tried to keep a positive and focused attitude. Since the night before, I visualized my outfit and thought that maybe I could give a chance to a dress that I had discarded from the beginning.





Llevo un tiempo investigando sobre cómo hacer mejores fotos Beauty, nombre de este género fotográfico enfocado en el maquillaje y la moda. Debo decir que esto precisamente es lo que más me gusta de Hive, se las arregla para impulsarme en busca de nuevos conocimientos.

I've been researching for a while now on how to take better Beauty photos, the name of this photographic genre focused on makeup and fashion. I must say that this is precisely what I like the most about Hive, it manages to push me in search of new knowledge.





Pero sin irme del tema, las fotos de makeup requieren varios elementos que marcan la diferencia. Prácticamente, acomode todos los objetos de mi sala, en un intento de miniestudio fotográfico, buscando buena iluminación y una pared de color uniforme al fondo. Dejando mi pared desnuda, coloque también una luz detrás de mí para cambiar el color. Puse mi música favorita y con la cámara frontal del móvil comenzó la función.

But without getting off topic, makeup photos require several elements that make a difference. Practically, I arranged all the objects in my living room, in an attempt of a mini photo studio, looking for good lighting and a uniform color wall in the background. Leaving my wall bare, I also placed a light behind me to change the color. I put on my favorite music and with the front camera of my cell phone the function began.

Esto no se me había ocurrido antes, ya que estaba demasiado preocupada por todo. Esta vez la música hizo que me mantuviera con buenas vibras a pesar del calor y los nervios. Entre cada captura iba bailando y cantando. Parece una sencillez, pero créeme, al menos en mi caso marcó la diferencia.

This hadn't occurred to me before, as I was too worried about everything. This time the music kept me in good vibes despite the heat and nerves. In between each capture I was dancing and singing. It sounds simple, but believe me, at least in my case it made a difference.

¿Sabes que con este reto tuve una contradicción? A pesar de haber descartado el vestido desde el inicio, específicamente hoy me lo puse y no pude dejarlo de lado, creo que me hechizo. Cuéntame si alguna vez te ha pasado algo parecido. Pienso que tiene que ver con el estado de ánimo y los colores, cuando me lo probé por primera vez, quizás mi energía no estaba tan a tope como ahora. Siempre es bueno darles una segunda oportunidad a las cosas, verdad.

Did you know that with this challenge I had a contradiction? Despite having discarded the dress from the beginning, specifically today I wore it and I couldn't put it aside, I think it cast a spell on me. Tell me if something similar has ever happened to you. I think it has to do with mood and colors, when I first tried it on, maybe my energy wasn't as high as it is now. It's always good to give things a second chance, right.





Pues bueno, acompañé mi outfit con accesorios dorados, ya que mi piel es cálida. Los aretes en especial evocaron en mí un lindo recuerdo, pertenecían a mi abuelita materna, quien ya no está físicamente, pero que me acompaña siempre en el corazón.

Well, I accompanied my outfit with golden accessories, since my skin is warm. The earrings in particular evoked in me a nice memory, they belonged to my maternal grandmother, who is no longer physically present, but who always accompanies me in my heart.





El collar lo hice con una cadena de mi madre, la cual empate por detrás mediante una cinta. Es así, señores, hay que improvisar. De todo esto también he aprendido que se pueden hacer grandes cosas sin demasiado presupuesto, sencillamente reciclando lo que tenemos a mano y apelando a la creatividad.

I made the necklace with a chain from my mother, which I tied at the back with a ribbon. That's how it is, gentlemen, you have to improvise. From all this I have also learned that you can do great things without too much budget, simply recycling what we have at hand and appealing to creativity.





Y mi cabello, por dios, pobre de él. Digo pobre de él, porque hace algunos días quise hacerme un cambio y recurrí a la peluquería por unas mechas, pero estas no me gustaron, así que decidí llevarlo a mi tono nuevamente.

And my hair, my God, poor it. I say poor it, because a few days ago I wanted a change and went to the hairdresser for some highlights, but I didn't like them, so I decided to take it to my shade again.

"Maquillaje"

Por la parte del maquillaje, elegí tonos dorados y carmelitas con el objetivo de hacer un look natural y elegante. Uno de los errores que solía cometer a la hora de arreglarme, era delinear en exceso mis ojos, cosa que no me favorece para nada, ya que los tengo rasgados, y esto da la sensación de ser los mismos aún más pequeños de lo que ya son. Por esta razón puse un color más oscuro en el extremo final y solo realicé un difuminado que les diera profundidad.

"Makeup "

As for the makeup, I chose golden and carmelite tones in order to make a natural and elegant look. One of the mistakes I used to make when doing my make-up, was to outline my eyes too much, something that doesn't suit me at all, since I have slanted eyes, and this gives the sensation of being even smaller than they already are. For this reason I put a darker color at the end and only blurred them to give them depth.





Cuando ya tenía todas las fotos, juro que me dio pena que se terminara, ya que mis ganas eran las de salir de fiesta o irme para una verdadera gala. Esto no sucedió, pero me doy por complacida porque logre mi objetivo inicial.
