Eventually, I finished this piece last year after painting on and off for a year. I could still work on it but it would probably take me ages to paint it exactly as I imagined it to be. There are still parts that don't look quite the way I'd like them to, but it seems to me that if I want to change them, I need to paint all over it again. So, I think I will leave it like this and rather start a new one.
As probably always I could have improved it even more but I think it's important to know when there's done enough work with one painting and better implement the lessons that I've learned during the process within the next painting.
I love the colours. To me they appear really soothing and healing. Also a feeling of freedom arises because the ship could take me anywhere. What do you feel by looking at this painting?

Here are two pictures of the painting process. This painting definitely went through various stages. Especially the transition between the sea and clouds was really hard to figure out.
