Stone Sunset Painting With Acrylic

Hello Hivers, How are you doing? I wish you are well today, Welcome to my Art blog. I am going to share on how to paint landscape on the stone. This idea is really exciting to do.In this post I am going to demonstrate the step by step process in order to achieve beautiful scenery on a stone canvas. and as well, learn the basic techniques.

Stones and rocks are available in different sizes, Before you start painting you have to wash the stone or rock thoroughly, and make it dry so that the paint will not easily be remove. It would be nice if you can pick a flat and smooth stone.

Materials Needed:
👉 Flat stone or smooth stone
👉 Pencil and eraser
👉 Clean Water
👉 Rag
👉 Paper napkin

Acrylic Paint:👉 Black
👉 Brilliant Red
👉 Lemon Yellow
👉 Titanium White
👉 Ultramarine Blue
👉 Violet

Brushes
👉 Flat Brush /small #10, 10/32 / 8.0mm
👉 Liner Brush #2 / 2/32" / 1.6mm

Painting Process:I Started with the sketch, this is your guide where your painting will go. You can use pencil.

In painting landscape or sunset it is always start by painting with the background. I used brilliant red, yellow white and violet. most part here, I blend the yellow and brilliant red. For this portion I used flat brush.

I painted the mountains with black using flat brush

I Mixed the white and small amount of yellow for the sunset, I used liner brush or you can also use round brush for painting the sun setting. To make this art alive, I put water reflection, waves and water lines. I used the same brush for this part.
