Today I want to talk about something very close to my heart: family. In the photos I'm sharing, there's a beautiful memory of a family dinner. The photo is old, but every time I see it, it takes me back to those moments of laughter, food, and togetherness.
On the table there was everything: rice with meat, fried plantains, salad, sodas... but the most important thing wasn't the food. It was the company. It was being together, sharing without rushing, without worries, enjoying the simple things.
Today, that family is incomplete. Some left because they emigrated, looking for a better future. Others passed away recently, and their absence hurts every day. The situation in Cuba is very difficult, and sometimes it seems like family dinners like that are a thing of the past.
But I have faith. Someday we will get better. The family will reunite again, and there will be new dinners, with new members, with new stories to tell. The table will be filled again with laughter and love.
Because family is the most important thing we have. No matter the distance, no matter the difficulties. The love of a family transcends borders, transcends death, transcends everything.
To all those who are far away: I miss you. To all those who are gone: I carry you in my heart. And to those of us who remain: let's keep fighting, let's keep loving each other, let's keep celebrating life together.
