I am very pleased to write to you and participate again in an edition of CCC`s Street Art Contest that digi-me@digi-me organizes every week.

CCC`s Street Art Contest 113

In this edition of the contest I am going to present you a graffiti of the group "Rodillo Boys Crew" who are a group of Galician graffiti artists of whom you can not find information on the internet. I can only indicate that in the city of Monforte de Lemos they have a second graffiti that I hope to bring you soon to this community.

This week I have been for the second time in the last 15 days in a small town in Galicia called Monforte de Lemos. It is a town of one, 15000 inhabitants located in the province of Galicia, in the northwest of Spain. On the previous occasion, when I was strolling through its urban center, I had found this beautiful mural that I had submitted to the CCC`s Streeta Art 111.

Two weeks ago, when I was taking pictures of the mural Escenas de Monforte, I could not take pictures of the graffiti that I want to present today because there were some guys sitting a few meters from the mural (Calle del Reboredo 113, Monforte de Lemos) and after waiting a few minutes I saw no intention that they were going to leave and my intention was to take pictures with total tranquility. At the same time, I knew that this week I would return to Monforte de Lemos and that it would have to be bad for me not to be able to photograph the graffiti with tranquility.

General view of the graffiti.

The graffiti represents the diversity of people that can be on a passenger train. In fact, in one of the carriages below the drawing of the biscuit-shaped doll is written the following phrase in Spanish: "If we were all the same, it would be very boring".

alt

One of the things that struck me about the graffiti is its location. Since doing the graffiti of a passenger train a few meters from the passage of the train tracks and a city like Monforte de Lemos which is the Galician city that houses the railroad museum of Galicia.

At the same time, it is amusing to see that the conductor of the train is a bottle. Although it is not clear if it is a bottle of an alcoholic beverage or a bottle of water.

Front view of graffiti

Observing the graffiti one can see that the group "Rodillo Street Crew" has been quite close to reality, since in the first seats it seems that the people occupying the seats are people or objects that want to represent older people by wearing one of them a typical beret worn by older people in the past in Spain and in the final part there is a more casual atmosphere, in which one of the crew members is a cigarette.

Front part of the wagon where you can see an older man with a beret.

Rear part of the carriage more casual where even a passenger is a cigarette.

From my point of view, I think that the group "Rodillo Street Crew" have managed to represent very well the message that if we were all the same, the world would be very boring.
