You don't have to vote your comment to get it to the top if you are running late. I filter by time when i curate and since i am in Sweden and the deadline is Texas time so i have to do math to see if people are on time.

If you miss a deadline, you can always just wait until the next day when that week's winners are announced and add it to that one. Like one guy just entered after you and missed the deadline, but he can just add that comment on the new one and it's valid for next week. Hope that all made sense.
