My entry
When I say this POBphotocontest New Round: WIDE contest, I almost new which location I would pick. Partly because I don´t have that many great photos from high viewing points that would be perfect for this contest.
Looking back at the folder, it was a bit harder to decide which picture to choose.
In the end, I went for this one. Also because it showed the beautiful morning dew of that morning.

The location
The location is a watchtower pretty close to my house (I can bike to it). It is 26m heigh and gives a beautiful view. If you look in the right (or wrong depending what you want to see) direction, you can see the edges of the city from there. If you look in other directions you see nature and fields. Such as on this picture.
I also thought about doing a timelapse there, but the tower moves a lot if somebody takes a step, so sadly that will certainly fail.
The day
The day of the picture was a rare occasion for me. I decided to capture a sunrise at a lake closeby. After that I wanted to enjoy the beautiful morning a bit more, so I went to this tower. I really love it when the morning is fresh of some dew.

This was my other contender for the contest (and some without the railing). I wanted to make it a bit different, so I decided to try with the railings on the side. But it narrows the view a bit too much for this contest, while I liked the inclusion of the rails.

I love it when there are drips of water hanging on leaves and cobwebs, so I had to include this one
