Black Hill Conservation park is near Adelaide, South Australia and is a great place for walking. The view across the city out to the sea are great and there is lots of native flora and fauna to see.
The gullys and track are steep in the park but well established and reasonably well signed. The trees are mostly small as you go higher, but much larger on the lower slopes.
A grasstree can be seen growing in this photo, looking across the Adelaide Hills.
Extensive rock outcrops can be seen along the way. The valleys are very steep.
Major powerlines run over the top of the range.
We even found some Kangaroos feeding on the summit of Black Hill.
I think I have been spotted in this photo!
It was a fun day, it took about 3 hours round trip to go up and back and is good to pack some water and food for the walk.
