Learned about age 10 to cook bbq - my father was not good at it amd too busy. In those days it was charcoal fire from timber from the property. Cooking over coals teaches one about timing. Did the learning at univerity when I share an apartment with a Friend. We cokked alternate days out of an old style cookbook - Let's Cook It Right - look it up. Been cooming ever since - coming up 50 years. It is more than a hobby - a passion and a therapy. It keeps me grounded
