Crisp cold morning in the Hunter Valley. Had hoped to go for a bike ride bur I knew from yesterday's effort that the remaining weed work would take a whack of time.
In a clear sunny day the insects were enjoying the fireweed. I took the phone out for photos - glad I did.

Fireweed is a noxious weed which is really bad for livestock, especially for cattle. Sustained consumption leads to liver damage. Important to clear weed on our property as there are cattle in the fields over the road.
While the weekend spent gardening was not easy, it was really important to get away from home. BTW we did check with the police that we could go. A property owner (me) was always allowed to visit their property. The changes from May 1 meant we (2 people from the same household) could go together
Got to say the gardener slept most of the way home.
Dinner : pizza on bought gluten free bases.
