Hello, Kumusta?
I'm Caroline ,but my family and close friends call me Carol . I’m from Sarangani , a beautiful province in the Southern Philippines that I proudly call home. To me, it's a little paradise filled with green mountains, very rich farmlands, clear rivers, wonderful beaches, and a peaceful community.
Growing up surrounded by nature taught me to appreciate life's simple joys and the beauty of the outdoors.
Living in my province has never been boring, There are lots of activities to do. The mountains are just near for hiking, the rivers and seas are just steps away if you like to swim and cool down during hot days .Fish , fruits and vegetables are always fresh .The town is just nearby for everything if I need to buy something. I am truly blessed with a beautiful hometown.
By the way, I've been a Retired Teacher for 3 years now .I taught in the public school for 16 years and transitioned into work from home. As of now , I'm working part time as an online ESL Teacher, doing affiliate marketing , selling Real Estate and Insurance. See , I retired early from my corporate job but now ,I'm doing more work. Oh my! But anyway , those are just flexible schedules,
I was onboarded by @antonette @
@chinito to this platform ,and I personally thank them for sharing with me about this site . I'm so excited to share a glimpse of my life here. I can now use my time in writing or blogging instead of just wasting my time scrolling on social media . Though I don't have the skill in writing ,it's worth a try.
I'm happy to be here on PEAKD, where I can share my life experiences, stories, and the
wonderful things I experience along the way.
My Family
Family has always been one of my greatest blessings .
I am the second among seven children. Yes, we are a big family! Sometimes I jokingly say that my parents did a great job of "family planting." They always say, "The more, the merrier," and while that's true, it means also that life was not always easy.
Growing up, we faced many hardship, and there were times when money was very tight. Even so, our parents worked very hard and made many sacrifices to give us a better future. By God's grace, they were able to send us to college, and each of us earned a degree. Looking back, I truly admire their strength, determination, and unconditional love.
Today, our family has grown even bigger as others have their own families and we all had our own careers. Although we now live in different places, we always make time to stay connected. Whether through family gatherings, phone calls, or messages, we continue to support and encourage one another.
Sadly, we lost our beloved father during the COVID pandemic. It was one of the most difficult moments in our lives, and we still miss him every day. Even so, he left us with values that continue to guide us—hard work, perseverance, kindness, and the importance of putting family first.
Life brings both joyful and painful moments. While we cannot change what has happened, we can choose to move forward with faith, cherish the memories we shared, and remain grateful for every blessing we receive.
I am truly thankful for my family. They are my greatest source of love, strength, and inspiration, and they remind me every day of what really matters in life.
Thank you for reading and dropping by. I look forward to sharing more with you.
