Hello, friends at Needle Work Monday. I was delighted to discover this community for sharing handmade crafts and embroidery work. Today, I want to show you a collaboration I did with a friend—an artist named K. R. Kleber from the East Zone of São Paulo. He is a painter who works on clothing and does upcycling. He invited me to collaborate on this denim jacket; he painted the back and the pockets, while I embroidered five patches—creating five embellishments to attach to the jacket: two on each sleeve and one on the front. So, I’m going to share a bit of the process with you here. It involves both fabric painting and embroidery.

Olá, amigos do Needle Work Monday. Fiquei muito feliz de descobrir a existência dessa comunidade de partilha de trabalhos artesanais, de trabalhos de bordado. Hoje eu quero mostrar uma collab que eu fiz com um amigo, um artista chamado K. R. Kleber, aqui de São Paulo, da Zona Leste. Ele é pintor, ele faz intervenções em roupas, faz upcycling. E ele me chamou pra fazer uma intervenção nessa jaqueta jeans. Ele pintou as costas da jaqueta e os bolsos. E eu bordei cinco patches, criei cinco intervenções pra colocar na jaqueta duas em cada manga e uma na parte da frente. Então vou compartilhiar um pouco do processo aqui com vocês. Tem pintura em tecido e tem bordado.
