RE: Bean counters, Murderous hunters, Mennonite warlords - Freewrite Writing Prompt Day 2212
NOTE: My grandpa's first tractor got sold at the auction, but not my husband's painting of Gpa on Tractor!! (A friend had misread that.) I would not sell original artwork especially of a subject so near

Great to see you too, @litguru, thanks! And I agree: most of us lack that knack for communing with nature. Sounds like you may have read the opening pages of that book...? It's wild to think some people

Your bunny rescue - the little fellow is still here! You must be taking really good care of him, given how low the survival rate is for baby bunnies. Thanks to your dog's wicked kill-kill-kill instinct,

I have not read it - but I will! Set in Stratford, England, in the late 16th century, Hamnet imagines the emotional, domestic, and artistic repercussions after the world's most famous (though never named)

Dogs. (And cats, serial killers of songbirds.) And cute baby bunnies. My neighbor SHOOTS rabbits to protect the garden. My own garden was decimated in 2023, by rabbits, mostly, possibly woodchucks too.

I love this - every bit of it! Laughing at your depiction of yourself as a little old lady in a hillbilly town. You are SO MUCH MORE than that, and come to find out, the town is more, too! How ambitious

RE: Grandma
Oh I feel for you @silvertop, your grandma with dementia from age ~80 to 101. That is a LONG TIME to have memory impairment, etc. My dad lingered with it until age 89, and Mom (at 86) took care of him
