According to my research all of the cryptocurrency are using more or less good technology. But the main problem is they all are now in developing process.
Think about IOTA , they are perform millions of transaction in a minutes, But the more users it get the more it becomes fast. Also their transaction fees are very less.
Golem is using one of the super technology. They use all of their users computers on the network. You can also rent other pc on rent.
