Greetings to everyone in the Lifestyle community. Today I’m stopping by to share with you a new day in my life. This past Friday took us by surprise with a few things that needed to be taken care of before the trip I have to take to see my mother. For one thing, I had a job I was supposed to do today, but unfortunately it didn’t work out because the person I was going to work with got sick, so it became impossible. That was a source of income that’s always needed. Now, we’ve been stuck at home for a bit because they’re working on the apartment’s flooring, and tomorrow they’ll be working on another section of it, so we need to be ready for them and able to respond.
Saludos a todos en la comunidad de Lifestyle. El día de hoy me uno por aquí para compartir con ustedes un nuevo día en mi vida. En esta ocasión, el día viernes nos tomó por sorpresa con algunas cosas que habrían que resolver antes del viaje que debo hacer para ver a mi madre. Por una parte tenía un trabajo que debía hacer este día, pero lamentablemente no se pudo porque la persona con quién iba a trabajar cayó enferma y se hizo imposible. Eso era una entrada de dinero que siempre es necesaria. Ahora, hemos estado en casa un poco cabezones porque se está trabajando con lo del suelo del apartamento y mañana mismo toca hacer otra parte de ello, así que necesitamos estar listos para ellos y poder responder.
I’m glad to see that the house is finally getting the maintenance it’s long deserved, but on the other hand, I’d forgotten just how annoying it is to be in the middle of a project like this when dust, bits of cement, or whatever else starts to swirl around the room. Even the cats have made their displeasure known (hahaha). The other day I found Blackie (my black cat) completely covered in dust, and it looked like he had gray fur. Even though I try to keep them out of that area, it’s kind of impossible because there’s no way to clean it up. Soon everything will be back to normal, and we’ll be able to relax a bit more. I really appreciate this gesture from my father-in-law. He has no idea how much it means.
Today we went to buy a few things I need to take to Mom, and well, I’m increasingly surprised by how prices keep going up every week everywhere. As I mentioned a few days ago here on the platform, these have been very tough weeks, and I think we’re all looking for financial security and stability. And speaking of other things… I’m trying to take it one day at a time. I really don’t feel as secure as I used to; it’s hard to get back what you once had. Trust is something you have to earn. Me alegra ver qué la casa está recibiendo ese mantenimiento que desde hace tiempo se merecía, pero por otra parte, no recordaba lo molesto que resultaba estar en una labor así cuando el polvo, los pedacitos de cemento o algo más, comienza a levantarse en el ambiete. Incluso los gatos han hecho saber su descontento con ello (jajaja). En estos días encontré a Blackie (mi gato negro) todo cubierto de polvo y parecía que tenía un pelaje gris. Aunque intento que no tengan acceso a esa área, se hace un poco imposible porque no hay forma de limpiarlo. Pronto todo cogerá forma y podremos estar más tranquilos. Yo aprecio mucho este gesto de parte de mi suegro. No sabe lo mucho que significa.
Hoy fuimos a comprar algunas cosas que debo llevar para mamá y bueno, cada vez más me sorprenden los precios que se elevan cada semana en todos lados. Cómo hablaba hace unos días por acá por la plataforma, han Sido semanas muy duras y creo que todos estamos buscando solvencia y estabilidad. Y hablando de otras cosas... Intento ir un día a la vez. Realmente no me siento segura como antes, es difícil recuperar lo que uno tenía. La confianza es algo que se gana. Finalmente, ya estamos en fin de semana. Así que les deseo un buen sábado y domingo.
