Garbage - You Look So Fine (Vocal cover by @carminasalazarte) [ENG/ESP]
English Version
Hello to everyone in the Sound Music community! Today I bring you a new cover of one of my favorite bands, Garbage, with their song titled 'You look so fine'. A song that was quite successful among the songs on their album Version 2.0 released in 1998. And a gem for fans of the band.
The song contains some heartbreaking lyrics. It talks about how a woman wants to be by the side of the man she loves but it seems that he doesn't have the same intentions. Touching on the point of obsession, she insists on his goodness, on him forgetting all the people from that past because he has her and she won't let him go so easily. Garbage always brings lyrics a bit ambiguous where it is hard to know clearly if what they are saying is satire or not.
Finally my friends I leave you with the video so you can listen to my version. I also wanted to rescue some of the aesthetics of the original video where she is dressed in pink and that electric makeup that characterizes her. If you have any comments about it here I always leave a space for you to express yourselves. Thank you very much to all of you for stopping by and see you next time.
Lyrics/Letra
You look so fine
I want to break your heart
And give you mine
You're taking me over
It's so insane
You've got me tethered and chained
I hear your name
And I'm falling over
I'm not like all the other girls
I can't take it like the other girls
I won't share it like the other girls
That you used to know
You look so fine
Knocked down
Cried out
Been down just to find out
I'm through bleeding for you
I'm open wide
I want to take you home
We'll waste some time
You're the only one for me
You look so fine
I'm like the desert tonight
Leave her behind
If you want to show me
I'm not like all the other girls
I won't take it like the other girls
I won't fake it like the other girls
That you used to know
You're taking me over
Over and over
I'm falling over
Over and over
You're taking me over
Drown in me one more time (over and over)
Hide inside me tonight (I'm falling over)
Do what you want to do (over and over)
Just pretend happy end (you're taking me over)
Let me know let it show (over and over)
Ending with letting go (I'm falling over)
Ending with letting go
Ending with letting go
Let's pretend
Happy end
