Hello to everyone in the Music community! Today I bring a new cover here, this time it's the song of the British singer, Dido, which is titled "Thank You". It belongs to the album "No Angel" which was released in 2000 and is considered by many as one of her most successful singles. It is among many of her songs, one of the first I managed to listen to from the artist and I found it simply enchanting. The videoclip is also something iconic that, together with Dido's beautiful voice, is a wonderful production that I remember fondly from the 2000s.
The song talks about how everyday life, about work, home and routine wear and tear can simply not be so heavy when we have the right person by our side. The one who reminds us that even though the day may be cloudy and look bad, it can still turn into a great day. And that is how Dido, declares her love to her partner at the time, Bob Page and for whom she would also ironically write, "White Flag" where she talks about their early breakup and the love that will continue to exist even though they are no longer together.
As always, Dido achieves many things and among them is to move us with her lyrics and melodious voice. It is almost impossible not to be moved by "Thank You" as it is a song that explains the simplicity and gratitude that exists in someone who is genuinely happy and loved. Dido is great and there is no doubt in my mind that she is one of those great artists of the 2000's that reminds us of how organic music used to be, without pretension or vanity. ¡Hola a todos en la comunidad de Music! El día de hoy traigo un nuevo cover por aquí, está vez se trata de la canción de la cantante británica, Dido, la cuál se titula "Thank You". Esta pertenece al álbum "No Angel" que fue lanzada en el año 2000 y es considerada por muchos como uno de sus sencillos de mayor éxito. Es entre mucho de sus temas, uno de los primeros que logré escuchar de la artista y me pareció simplemente encantador. El videoclip también es algo icónico que acompañado a la preciosa voz de Dido, resulta una producción maravillosa y que recuerdo con cariño de aquella de los 2000.
La canción nos habla sobre cómo la vida cotidiana, sobre el trabajo, la casa y los desgastes de la rutina pueden simplemente no ser tan pesados cuando tenemos a nuestro lado a la persona correcta. Aquella que nos hace recordar que aunque el día puede estar nublado y pintar mal, de todas formas puede volverse un gran día. Y es así como Dido, declara su amor a su compañero de aquel entonces, Bob Page y por el cual también escribiría irónicamente, "White Flag" dónde habla sobre su pronta ruptura y el amor que seguirá existiendo a pesar de que ya no estén juntos.
Cómo siempre, Dido logra muchas cosas y entre ellas es conmovernos con su letra y voz melodiosa. Es casi imposible no sentirse movido por "Thank You" pues es una canción que nos explica la sencillez y la gratitud que existe en alguien que es genuinamente feliz y amado. Dido es genial y no me cabe la menor duda de que es una de esas grandes artistas de los 2000 que recuerdan lo orgánico que solía ser la música, sin pretensiones ni vanidades.
