Today I come to talk to you about one of my favorite books and in fact is the first one I read with pleasure, because when I went to school usually teachers forced us to read novels already established by the ministry of education, which I must confess caused me to have a little phobia to reading, however, on my own I decided to read Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, after a friend of mine gave it to me just before I got married, and the truth is that I liked it a lot 馃槏.
Hoy vengo a hablarles acerca de uno de mis libros favoritos y que de hecho es el primero que le铆 con todo el gusto, ya que cuando yo iba al colegio usualmente los profesores nos obligaban a leer novelas ya establecidas por el ministerio de educaci贸n, lo cual debo confesar provoc贸 que yo le tuviera un poco de fobia a la lectura, sin embargo, por mi cuenta decid铆 leer Mujercitas de Louisa May Alcott, despu茅s que una amiga m铆a me la regal贸 justo antes de que yo me casara, y la verdad es que me gust贸 mucho 馃槏.
It is the story of four sisters (Meg, Jo, Beth and Amy March) who live in a difficult time, the civil war in the United States, and basically we see the evolution of these girls and their transition from girls to women in this difficult context, since they have practically been left alone with their mother because their father is fighting in the war, so together they will have to face the challenges of their age and the environment in which they live, discovering along the way their own mental and spiritual strength.
Es la historia de cuatro hermanas (Meg, Jo, Beth y Amy March) que viven en una 茅poca dif铆cil, la guerra civil de Los Estados Unidos, y b谩sicamente vemos la evoluci贸n de estas chicas y su paso de transici贸n de ni帽as a mujeres en este contexto tan dif铆cil, ya que pr谩cticamente han quedado solas con su madre porque el padre est谩 combatiendo en la guerra, as铆 que juntas tendr谩n que afrontar los desaf铆os propios de su edad y del entorno en el que viven, descubriendo en el camino su propia fortaleza mental y espiritual.
I enjoyed the reading from beginning to end because it is very dynamic, it is impossible to get bored because the four sisters are different from each other, they have very distinct personalities and react differently to conflicts. As I was reading, the story is partly auto biographical because it is based on some of the author's own experiences, which in my humble opinion gives a more personal and realistic touch to the novel.
Yo disfrut茅 la lectura de principio a fin porque es muy din谩mica, es imposible aburrirse porque las cuatro hermanas son diferentes entre s铆, tienen personalidades muy marcadas y reaccionan de manera diferente a los conflictos. Seg煤n estuve leyendo, la historia es en parte auto biogr谩fica pues est谩 basada en algunas de las vivencias de la propia autora, lo cu谩l, en mi humilde opini贸n le da un toque m谩s personal y realista a la novela.
I like to see that the author was quite ahead of her time and we notice it in the personality and way of thinking of some characters, but especially Jo (the writer) because she is the least traditional of the four, she is not thinking about getting married, she wants to follow her own ideals, however when she meets Professor Bhaer she discovers in him the ideal partner, not because he is rich, excessively handsome or because he has influence, but because he encourages her to continue growing emotionally and professionally, he wants her to continue her career as a writer, he supports her and reinforces her strong and spontaneous personality, I really loved this couple 馃槏.
Me gusta ver que la autora estaba bastante adelantada a su 茅poca y lo notamos en la personalidad y forma de pensar de algunos personajes, pero sobre todo de Jo (la escritora) porque es la menos tradicional de las cuatro, no est谩 pensando en casarse, quiere seguir sus propios ideales, sin embargo al conocer al profesor Bhaer descubre en 茅l al compa帽ero ideal, no porque sea rico, excesivamente guapo o porque tenga influencias, sino porque la alienta a seguir creciendo emocional y profesionalmente, quiere que ella contin煤e su carrera como escritora, la apoya y refuerza su personalidad fuerte y espontanea, de verdad am茅 esta pareja 馃槏.
Since it is a novel actually written in that era, it is very interesting to see how the sisters are growing up and facing the changes that come with age, how they deal with social conflicts, losses and life in general. There was only one scene that I regretted very much and I wish it had not happened but I will not mention anything about it in case you have not read the book, because I do not want to ruin your experience and expectations.
Ya que es una novela escrita realmente en aquella 茅poca, resulta muy interesante ver como las hermanas van creciendo y afrontando los cambios propios de la edad, como se enfrentan a los conflictos sociales, a las p茅rdidas y a la vida en general. Solo hubo una escena que lament茅 much铆simo y me hubiese gustado que eso no hubiese pasado pero no mencionar茅 nada al respecto en caso de que ustedes no hayan le铆do el libro, pues no quiero arruinar su experiencia y expectativas.
