As a mother of four children, sometimes we have to manage to give them a better education and above all a healthy diet to help them grow. However, here in Venezuela as many know the economy is chaotic, where food prices rise almost every month, and that is quite delicate.

A few months ago I had told my husband that I wanted to invest in something to cover some household expenses, and thus be able to earn some extra money that never hurts.

So I decided to invest in something very simple and that would also allow us to generate money at the moment, it came to my mind to make some fruit ice cream, and sell them at a price that the customer can buy.

It is an investment which although it is true that it is not going to generate me a millionaire, but it will allow me to cover some expenses of the house and that for me is of great help; in addition I would earn money without so much effort since I can sell them from home.

That's why, since a few weeks ago, I decided to go out with my oldest son to negotiate ice cream in the houses and places where people gather to play sports, since an ice cream of these would not fall bad to our body and also for these heats that are doing, which are not normal at all.

I went out with my oldest son; (he is eleven years old), to sell and the first day I did not do so bad and the second day I sold my ice cream. At first I was a little embarrassed, but I did not give him to show my son because one of the things why I decided to leave home to sell, was to teach my son to lose his shyness, since he is a little shy; and believe me what being shy is not good at all. On the way we agreed that he would sell and then I would do it and so far it has worked for me and he has been gradually adapting.

There was a weekend that we did not go out, because after those hot days that was doing here in Venezuela, it turns out that became rainy days and we could not go out in addition to cold who would want to buy ice cream?

Yesterday he decided to go out alone to a field that is very close to where we live to sell ice cream, but of course I caught up with him later and we got together. What my son did, was a big step forward and for me a happiness, not that he went to sell ice cream, but that he dared to go alone.

I feel happy because I am not only providing for the house but I am also teaching my children not to sell but to develop and be prepared for life. And that things are earned by hard work and effort. That's another lesson I want to teach them.

Como madre de cuatro niños, a veces nos toca ingeniarnos para darles una mejor educación y sobre todo una alimentación saludable para ayudarles a su crecimiento. Sin embargo, aquí en Venezuela como muchos saben la economía es caótica, donde los precios de los alimentos casi todos los meses suben, y eso es bastante delicado.

Desde hace algunos meses le había comentado a mi esposo que quería invertir en algo para cubrir algunos gastos de la casa, y así poder ganar un dinero extra que nunca cae mal.

Así que decidí invertir en algo muy sencillo y que además que nos permitiera generar el dinero al momento, me vino a la mente hacer unos helados de frutas, y venderlos a un precio el cual el cliente lo pueda comprar.

Es una inversión qué si bien es cierto no me va a generar una millonada, pero si me va permitir poder cubrir algún gasto de la casa y eso para mi es de gran ayuda; además ganaría dinero sin tanto esfuerzo ya que los puedo vender desde casa.

Por eso, desde hace algunas semanas, decidí salir con mi hijo mayor a negociar los helados en las casas y los lugares donde se reúnan personas a realizar deportes, ya que un heladito de estos no caería mal a nuestro cuerpo y también para estos calores que están haciendo, que no son nada normales.

Salí con mi hijo mayor; (él tiene once años), a vender y el primer día no me fue tan mal y el segundo tampoco es decir vendí mis helados. Al principio me daba un poco de pena, pero no le daba a demostrar a mi hijo ya que una de las cosas por la cual decidí salir de casa a vender, fue para enseñarle a mi hijo a perder la timidez, ya que el es un poco tímido; y créanme qué ser tímido no es nada bueno. En el camino nos pusimos de acuerdo él vendía y luego yo lo hacía y hasta ahora me ha funcionado ya ha ido poco a poco adaptándose.

Hubo un fin de semana que no salimos, ya que después de esos días calurosos qué estaba haciendo aquí en Venezuela, resulta que se convirtieron en días lluviosos y pues no podíamos salir además con frío ¿Quién iba a querer comprar helados?

El día de ayer decidió salir solo a una cancha qué está muy cerca de donde vivimos a vender los helados, pero claro yo lo alcancé luego y nos reunimos. Eso que mi hijo hizo, fue un gran avance y para mi una felicidad, no qué haya ido a vender los helados, sino que se halla atrevido a ir solo.

Me siento feliz porque no solo estoy proveyendo para la casa sino también le estoy enseñando a mis hijos no a vender sino a desenvolverse y estar preparado para la vida. Y que las cosas se gana esforzándose y trabajando. Esa es otra lección que quiero enseñarle.
