Today I will show you how to create a base for the glue gun, with a recycled PVC element.

For those of us who work with crafts, this support accessory is very useful, since it allows us to have our tool in an upright position and always available when using it, giving it a stable base and a safe place to always leave it.

In addition, being completely upright prevents the dripping of the silicone in the periods that it is not used, saving this glue stick that, when it simply melts if you are not careful, is wasted by gravity itself.

It occurred to me to make this plugin a long time ago and I was looking for some extra time to make it happen.

I was inspired by a Star Wars ship to give it a different design, and I hope it will inspire you for your projects since I do it with great love and I am pleased to share it with you.
We start:

Materials:
• Half tube of 4” PVC with 11cm length.
• Coaxial cable coverage to create non-slip rubber.
Tools:
•Hacksaw blade.
• Coarse and fine grit sandpaper.
• Pencil and eraser.

Step 1
• The first thing we do is mark where we will pass the line, we help ourselves with a sheet to follow the circumference without losing the straight line.
• We mark, cut and sand the edges.






Step 2
• We locate to where the handle of the pistol will be located, marking its width and depth.
• We create the design that we like the most, in my case, I was inspired by the shape of the Star Wars ships with a great design.












Step 3
• We cut the outlines of the design and sand all the edges.
• We soften the entrance of the slot that will hold the handle of the glue gun so that it can be inserted without inconvenience.









Step 4
• Lastly, we put non-slip rubber on the contact supports, both on the surface and where we will slide the handle of the glue gun so that everything stays in place.

El día de hoy les mostrare como crear una base para la pistola de silicón, con un elemento PVC reciclado.

Para los que trabajamos con manualidades es muy útil este accesorio de soporte, ya que nos permite tener nuestra herramienta en una posición erguida y siempre disponible a la hora de utilizarla, dándole una base estable y un lugar seguro donde siempre dejarla.

Además al estar erguida completamente derecha se evita el goteo del silicón en los lapsos que no se utiliza, ahorrando este pegamento en barra que al derretirse simplemente si te descuidas se desperdicia por la propia gravedad.

Se me ocurrió realizar este complemento ya desde hace tiempo y estaba buscando un tiempo extra para concretarlo.

Me inspire en una nave de Star Wars para darle un diseño diferente, y espero le sirva de inspiración para sus proyectos ya que lo hago con mucho cariño y me complace compartírselos.

Comenzamos:
Materiales:
• Medio tuvo de PVC de 4” con 11cm de largo.
• Cobertura de cable coaxial para crear la goma antideslizante.
Herramientas:
• Hoja de segueta.
• Lija de grano grueso y fino.
• Lápiz y borrador.

Paso 1
• Lo primero que hacemos es marcar por donde pasaremos la línea, nos ayudamos con una hoja para seguir la circunferencia sin perder la recta del trazo.
• Marcamos cortamos y lijamos los bordes.









Paso 2
• Ubicamos hasta donde irá ubicado el asa de la pistola, marcando su ancho y profundidad.
• Creamos el diseño que más nos guste, en mi caso, me inspiré en la forma de las naves de Star wars con un diseño genial.












Paso 3
• Cortamos los contornos del diseño y lijamos todos los bordes.
• Suavizamos la entrada de la ranura que sujetara el asa de la pistola de silicón para que esta pueda ser insertada sin inconveniente.










Paso 4
• Por último colocamos goma anti deslizante en los apoyos de contacto, tanto de la superficie como donde deslizaremos el asa de la pistola de silicón con el objeto de que todo se mantenga en su lugar.
