Hello my friend, for me it is a pleasure that you have passed by this post and that you can leave your impressions.

From seismography we can have a fairly high indication to know about the existence of hydrocarbons in a certain area, however it is not until we drill an exploratory well in the area that we can affirm 100% the existence of hydrocarbons.

With seismography what we seek is to obtain surface records of seismic waves that travel through the geological strata, and that have a different behavior when they cross a zone containing oil and/or natural gas.

For example, if the sound crosses a stratum containing oil, this is reflected on the surface because the sonic log curve must deflate and change course.

I hope I have been able to answer your question my friend, I hope you are well, greetings.
