Unfortunately, we still depend on gas and oil not only to generate energy but also for the generation of other derivatives that we currently use. This is the reason why exploration activities must be intensified, otherwise science and technology would have to find a substitute that could supply the needs of hydrocarbons, and so far this has not happened.
