As Christians, we know that the Word exhorts us to recognize that our struggle is not against flesh or blood, but that we have a spiritual war against the satanic armies of darkness.
These spiritual armies are ruled by a cherub who rebelled against God in heaven and is called Lucifer. Since then, these evil armies are in charge of waging war against the children of God on earth, who are those people who have confessed Christ in our hearts. Lucifer's goal is to destroy all mankind, because we were all created in the image and likeness of God.

Because of all this spiritual war that Satan waged against God, man has become the target of his attacks. God in defense of his creation sent his Son Jesus Christ, so that in the powerful name of Jesus, his children, that is, we, have the most powerful weapon to face Satan and all his armies of darkness.
Only in the name of Jesus do we have the option of experiencing God's power over our lives in protection against the attacks of darkness. In the name of Jesus, demons and all satanic armies are bound. In the name of Jesus we have a great victory over Satan and the fallen angels.

Jesus said that whatever we ask of his father, we ask in his name, that is, in the name of Jesus.

For this reason, prayer addressed to the Father in the name of Jesus becomes a powerful spiritual weaponry to destroy all our spiritual enemies. It is important to be attentive, because our enemy walks like a roaring lion in search of who to devour, and does not contemplate anyone. The Christian must be attentive and use prayer as an offensive instrument to bring down all evil and stalking of the enemy. As man dwells on earth, he constantly fights against Satan. We must not give place to the devil and face him with the glorious power of prayer in the name of Jesus.

Fasting is also another powerful instrument to bring down the forces of the evil one. When Queen Esther fasted with the people of Israel under the Persian Empire, God responded and freed her people from death and caused King Ahasuerus to kill those who planned the destruction of the people of Israel.

Prayer and fasting are two powerful weapons to counteract the attacks of darkness.

In Luke 2: 36-37, you have a powerful example of an old woman named Anne who had always been in the temple for eighty-four years, serving God day and night with fasting and prayer; and God allowed him to see the face of the child Jesus, who would be the savior of his people and the entire world.

Since then, this woman thanked God and spoke of the child to all who expected redemption in Jerusalem.

If you want to see the face of hope and be victorious continually, you must do like this woman, pray and fast, so that God gives you victory in the physical and spiritual plane.
