In the midst of the conflicts, problems and dark moments of life, we look for a friendly hand to help us overcome the difficulties and moments of despair that we live. The word teaches us that in the dark moments of life, we can lift our eyes to the heavens from where a source of help and refreshment will come for our lives.
To you I raised my eyes, To you who dwell in heaven.
Psalms 123: 1-3 New King James Version (RVR1960)
What to do in the midst of problems? Raise your eyes to the heavens. God's word is clear and precise. We have no other source of help than God. He is our refuge, strength and our prompt help in tribulations.
No one, better than God, can reach out and take us out of the hole where our feet may be. No one will come to your aid with sincerity, better than God.
Do not look to the sides to seek help, God recommends in his word that we look towards the place where He lives. God's habitation is in heaven. God will give us his helping hand when we look at the right place. Men produce disappointment, and if they help you, they do it with a personal interest. God is the opposite, when he comes to us to free us from some problem, he does it with love. The nature of God is love, that is why we must trust that when we look to heaven for help, God will send his gifts of love to provide us with everything we need.
In problems God gives us the strength and wisdom to face and endure them.
