I am very happy because, after three months of constant stress, I can say today that everyone—including our pets—is calmer and at peace.
This year has been exhausting, and the stress caused by the earthquake was intense; our pets felt the impact, too. Our little dog wasn't affected as much—he’s happy just having food and our company—but for our cat, Mitchu, the changes we’ve had to go through were very difficult and stressful; after all, we moved three times in just three and a half months.
During those three months, she faced so many limitations and had to deal with new faces, places, voices, and rules—everything was so different from what she was used to. Yet, despite it all, she showed resilience and courage. That said, my husband and I realized she was often full of fear, which caused anxiety, a lack of appetite, and even aggression—though we were able to manage the latter.
We moved six days ago into an apartment where it’s just us and our pets. We have much more freedom here, and Mitchu is much freer, too—so much so that she already has her favorite spots. The first two days were a tough adjustment, but by the third day, she had picked her favorite place in the kitchen: the top of the fridge—a spot where she can be in control, hehe.
Also, since the apartment has three bedrooms, she chose the warmest one—I don't think she likes air conditioning—and her favorite spot is the sofa right by the window where the sun hits the hardest.
You can't imagine the joy and relief we feel seeing our little cat free again, exploring the whole house. We still supervise her, of course, but we don't have the stress we had before moving here; freedom is truly priceless 🙏🏼

Estoy muy contenta, pues después de varios meses (3 meses) en un estrés constante, hoy puedo decir que todos incluyendo a nuestras mascotas estamos más tranquilos y con paz.
Este año ha sido muy agotador y el estrés que hemos tenido debido al terremoto ha sído muy fuerte y nuestras mascotas les ha tocado su parte, nuestro perrito no tanto, el es feliz solo con algo de comida y con nuestro compañía, pero para nuestra gatita Mitchu ha sido muy difícil y estresante todos los cambios que hemos tenido que atravesar, pues en solo tres meses y medio nos hemos cambiado de casa tres veces.
En esos tres meses ella ha tenido tantas limitaciones, ha tenido que enfrentar nuevas caras, nuevos lugares, nuevas voces, nuevas reglas, todo tan diferente a lo que ella estaba acostumbrada, pero a pesar de todo, ella demostró resiliencia y valentía, eso sí, mi esposo y yo nos dimos cuenta que a veces estaba llena de miedo, y este le provocaba ansiedad, algunas veces falta de apetito y agresividad, aunque está última lo podíamos controlar.
Hace seis días nos mudamos, estamos en un apartamento en dónde solo somos, nosotros y nuestras mascotas, aquí tenemos mucho más libertad y Mitchu está mucho más libre, tanto así que ya tiene sus lugares preferidos, los dos primeros días fueron difíciles para adaptarse pero al tercer día había escogido su lugar preferido en la cocina, y es la nevera, un lugar en dónde ella puede tener el control jejeje.
Además como el apartamento cuenta con tres habitaciones, ella escogió la más cálida, creo que no le gusta el aire acondicionado, y su sofá preferido es el que está justo en la ventana en dónde el sol pega con más fuerza.
No sé imaginan la alegría y alivio que sentimos al ver nuevamente a nuestra gatita libre, explorando toda la casa, siempre la supervisamos pero no tenemos el estrés que teníamos antes de llegar aquí, definitivamente la libertad no tiene precio 🙏🏼
