This guitar is my extension but my feathered wings are no match for SRV. Here are 3 tunes for your ears if you have the time to jam by Stevie Ray Vaughn (SRV). The first electric guitar i got almost 20 years ago, was retrofitted with 2 upgraded pick-ups. The neck pickup is actually SRVs signature model called the Pearly Gates, which is supposed to have a bluesy, slightly crunchy sound to it.

Three Tune Tuesday

Part of the collaboration of many, and i just want to include ablaze@ablaze as the chief of the show. There are many others included in #threetunetuesday, and i am just 1 of many. I thought Stevie Ray would be a good one for me to do, and when thinking about it, i havent actually jammed some SRV for a while, but he is definitely a legend guitarist. Tragically he died a while back but many people revered him as one of the best that graced this good earth. Mostly a blues kind of player, he can do it all, slow and fast. Ill pick 3 of the top of my brain which i believe to be some of his best.

1st off...

TEXAS FLOOD

the shred is strong here and my pants cant hold up

BECAUSE DAM....hes just shredding. Man, this video surprised me, he was sooooo dam good live. Every note spot on, the sweat on his brow, clean and articulate. He loved playing. He loved those notes, so do i....gosh dogg 馃悤

PRIDE AND JOY

oh man, if he keeps this up...

I wont have any shorts left. This friggin guy. Sweet vocals too, he means it. This may be his most well known song, but this live version once again does it justice. Passion, emotion, he really means it about pride and joy. What a treat. Love those riffs, gets me right from the start.

SCUTTLE BUTTIN

OHHHHH MAN

Its official, ive been shredded. This may technically be one of the toughest licks ever. Get past the intro with the french guy. Get past the 1980s aesthetic and absorb the lick when it starts. Its BLAZING fast. Ive seen a video discussion breaking down how to attempt to play it and its really impressive that he just gets right to it and plays it pretty close to studio quality.

I may never play like Stevie, but ill keep rockin the best i can. Hope you enjoy.
