If you are a fan of retro games, especially Nintendo, then you might be familiar with big names such as Mario, Metroid, and Zelda. For some reason i came across these video game covers a few years back, now its part of my playlist at least couple days out of the week. I mainly just listen off of youtube. Ill name 3 solid medleys, if you would be interested to jam toom. Its instrumental mostly, so no words sung, just sweet melody, chunky riffs, and sweet shred runs. He can Tap like an animal.
Some would say that some of the original music in nintendo games is some of the best ever. Very creative, catchy, and fun.
MAJORAS MASK (ZELDA 2)
- This is a cut right here, right from the start it just takes you on a journey. All the best little songs and jingles for you to feast on. Its 9 mins long, what an epic adventure. Zelda ocarina of time and majoras mask are very epic games, from the N64 era. With revolutionary gameplay at the time, great story, and these songs, cant go wrong.
METROID BRINSTAR
- Another banger, riffs, harmony, metal, but not too metal. From the Metroid games, a famous song heard on many iterations of Metroid. Just gets me going everytime. Metroid is a classic game, i played a lot of Metroid Prime, on gamecube at the time. Never got much into the original although may have to give it a try one day.
DONKEY KONG COUNTRY
3rd on my list here, is from donkey kong country from SNES. A solid game, wonderful gameplay, challenging yet rewarding. If you havent played any of the 3 games so far, they are worth if you consider yourself a gamer.
This song has a slower pace, some acoustic woven in, and a great jam. If you remember the water levels from this game, then you might recognize this song.
Toxic has been making these videos for many years now. He has some new ones that are pretty good. Might not be your cup of tea, but dam i enjoy playing these over and over, 2 years later.
- I cannot quite play like this madman, but i shall continue to Rock, as i hope you do as well.
