I also don't know why a lot of crude pixel NFT images are "worth" that much money. I guess it`s the same with real life, traditional art where there are a lot of very ugly examples selling for ridiculous amounts of money.

It is also very annoying that people generalize too much and curse blockchains and their technologies in general because some of them are consuming too much energy. My daughter plays an online game where the developers planned to integrate NFTs. They got so much hate from the community - mostly they were told that energy consumption argument. It would be cool if there suddenly was that much environmental conscience but if I look around there are still a lot of people driving oversized cars, buying a new iPhone every year and fly on vacation at least once a year. I would like to see an overview of the energy consumption of producing a Playstation 5, a flight to Dubai and other things in comparison to minting an NFT someday ^^
