What's the fastest animal on the planet?
If you said cheetah, then you'll be surprised when you find out that a cheetah is heavily outclassed by the real champion of speed... the falcon!
Falcons are birds of prey that are widely distributed on all continents of the world except Antarctica (of course.)
These bad boys can reach a dive speed of 240 mph!!! That's roughly 3 times as fast as a typical cheetah!
There are many birds of the Falconidae family, but the most notable one is the Peregrine falcon, which is the fastest.
There are many more variations of Falcons, but this post would be too long if I were to go over each and every one of them.
But nonetheless, the more you know!!
