Hey guys,
Today I bring you a brief story of a guide dog who failed his final test just to become one of the best friends I have had through my life. One of the things I love about going through the pictures of an old phone, is that memories just start flowing.
In the picture below, you can see Fisher, a beautiful Golden Retriever. Fisher was a peculiar dog. We adopted him from a NGO that is dedicated to training dogs for blind people who earn less than X amount of money. In other words, they train dogs for blind people who could not afford one. Fisher, nevertheless, was not a guide dog. He failed his test to become one! This was because he was too afraid of fireworks and thunder. Other than that, he was the perfect candidate (smart, obedient, etc), so they decided to use his sperm for breeding purposes. Right then and there is that we come into the picture. We adopted him by the time that decision was taken and he stayed with us for the rest of his life with the exception of visits to the organization every now and then.
Fisher was certainly the most well behaved dog I have ever had. We even thought he was mute! We didn't realize he wasn't until years later that we adopted another dog, and fisher learnt from her.
Hope you enjoyed it, and thank you for taking the time to read this.
Best,
